The 6th season of The Royal Bafokeng Jr NBA / WNBA league started on Wednesday 2 March with Kitsong going head to head with Matshukubyane Middle School at Kanana stadium,
The game started well with both teams trying to get into rhyme and Matshukubyane came out strong once they got into rhyme. In the second half Kitsong players were more motivated to change the score board. Kitsong made more attempts than they did in the first half. Athletics is always an important start to the sporting year as it establishes a fitness and skills platform for other sports codes. Athletics is also an important sport (or group of sports) in its own right, and perhaps the purest and fairest of all sport. This being the year of Rio Olympics perhaps heightens the awareness and interest in athletics.
At Kitsong, Inter-House athletics is on Wednesday 3 February. Please come along and watch. Spectators always make a big difference to athletes. Every morning, Kitsong children can be seen practising on the athletics field for the Inter-House Meeting.

Play-offs kicked off on Heritage day, 24th September 2015, at the Royal Bafokeng sports palace. It was a day of smiles and tears as a great display of skill and talented kids was on shown. In our first season of the basketball programme we made it to League play-offs. In the quarter finals we played against Matsukubyane Middle School. The game started well but with both team still struggling to find the rhythm. Oratile Seome opening the scoring with a rebound put back so Kitsong was leading by two defensive blocks then Onkarabetse Monyatsi followed with 6 points to end the half with 08 – 11 Matsukubyane Middle School.
In the second half Matsukubyane Middle School showed they were the team with experience. The final score was Kitsong 13 – 29 Matsukubyane Middle School.
